It’s one of the biggest shows on earth. Every three years, more than 2,500 exhibitors and some 130,000 attendees descend on Las Vegas for the ConExpo-Con/Agg trade show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show brings together the newest and best products and services from the construction industry. IronDirect will exhibit at the March 7-11 show in Gold Hall Booth G70113, a joint effort with Shantui Construction Machinery.
The IronDirect/Shantui exhibit is under the big top, part of a massive tent city in the Gold Lot at ConExpo. The metal-and-fabric structure puts the equivalent of more than eight football fields under roof. The IronDirect booth will feature four Shantui dozers and a remanufactured Ford Super Duty F-350 that will be raffled off during the show to promote the new IronDirect Reman Trucks service.
The booth will have video kiosks and computer monitors running product videos and other presentations that focus on the IronDirect construction equipment platform. IronDirect staff will meet with customers and show attendees at the booth from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day of the show. Numerous product announcements will be made at ConExpo. A news media event is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in North Hall Room N249-251.
IronDirect will be live blogging from the show floor, and publishing updates on its social media channels. The winner of the F-350 pickup will be announced during the show.
ConExpo 2017 will have a number of new attractions, including the Tech Experience pavilion, featuring the latest in job site and workforce technology. Among the displays will be the world’s first excavator created with 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing. The excavator cab was designed by a student team from the University of Illinois. The excavator was printed using machines at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee.
